anyone know about novotech bicycle wheels?

i am in Thailand and need new wheels for my road bike...Shimano i am rolling on now are not strong enough and the only ones I found in the nearest bike shop are Novotech which I have never heard of but they said they are as strong as Mavic so i was wondering if anyone has any experience with them thanks
