Whilst trying to find where a film was on near to me I stumbled across listings for a cinema that isn't near me at all: the Kino in Hawkhurst, Kent. As far as I know Hawkhurst is a village (about 4400 people) with a rather nice pub, the Queens Inn. So does it really have a cinema (and if so why)? The pictures on the web site make it look like something you'd find in Notting Hill or Soho, not in the English countryside. Anyone been there?
