For a long time now If I drink something hot or cold I can feel it go down my throat into my stomach. Does anyone have this as a symptom of acid reflux? I am very curious to find out if this is normal or something I should be concerned about. Thanks!

Oh wow, I have had the same thing for a little while and wasn't sure if it was connected to my acid reflux, but I'm thinking it is. Or it may be that we are just super sensitive to the temperature of drinks and food. Even when I eat hot oatmeal, I feel it go down to my stomach...it's really weird. But I'm happy to know that I'm not alone:)

At night if I drink refrigerated water and then lay down right after I can feel it. I'm hoping this goes away soon.
 
If I drink something very cold not only can I feel it go down,
but it goes down in painful,painful spasms that make me twist and turn.

I have the same problem. I thought it was the iced Latte I was drinking, but it's anything cold! It hurts and feels like a burning. I actually think it's the post nasal drip irritating the throat, in turn causing it to be extra sensitive. My mouth burns too alot throughout the day. I think it is because I bring up the phlegm sometimes and spit it out which I think irritates the tongue. I don't think it's acid. Acid would taste bitter wouldn't it? This is just clear and looks like it comes from my nose.
 
i so had this but that is the one thing that the meRAB have taken away...
i get the buring tounge thing as well but is better if i use baking soda for toothpaste and dont pig out on carbs,,,,,,,,,im sure i have LpR, but how to convince my surgeon when the ph test came back normal..........
anyway tha sensation of hot cold must be due to the acid or postnasel drip or what ever sllighty inflaming the throat and tummy but not enough to show up on the standart probe camera test thing..
