how's the wifi on those new 8320 ? Can you use UMA calling thru rogers ?

I'm thinking of switching my 8310 to the 8320 ...

it works great, haven't set up calling with UMA yet....wifi is good...but sometimes it takes long to log on yahoo messenger....i wonder why. with my 8300 it was fine...

UMA DOES NOT WORK ON ROGERS. it's carrier specific. please, don't buy an 8320 and think UMA will work on rogers. l

if you have a blackberry plan on rogers, then your 8320 will be able to access the BIS (email/PIN) and the web browser over wifi. that's it.

Yeap that's fine, the wifi works pretty good....something different gold 8320? Was sick of the silver 8300.....

What is UMA?

UMA is the technology that lets you make calls over wifi. t-mobile lets you make unlimited calls when connected to any wifi hotspot. roger doesn't support this feature and probably never will.
