Anyone have an opinion on the Dodge Magnum?

I've been answering questions on here for quite some time, and I have never had anyone ask any questions about problems they are having.

So that would indicate there don't seem to be many repair issues with them.

As a side note, I'm a Chevy guy, but I really like the Magnum.

They will be a top collectors item in the future if you keep it in good shape.

I'm just starting off, and me and my husband are thinking about buying a 2008 Dodge Magnum. Its in really good condition, so far as I can tell, but I want to know if anyone owns one, and has regular trouble with them, or how expensive the parts run for it and whatnot. Just how much the general upkeep is and if it is reliable or not? ANYTHING you can think of would be much appreciated!! I really need you guys' help! Thanks so much! =)

I disagree completely with Otto.

The Magnum was a very popular model when it was introduced but it ran it's course and was discontinued because Dodge wanted to concentrate on performance sedans (Challenger, Charger) and not a niche wagon.

The Magnum was very unique, offering a real alternative to SUVs at a time when the SUV was losing huge market share from high gas prices and increased safety concerns (rollovers). The modern take on the old station wagon was incredibly versatile and true to Dodge's past it was also performance oriented. Style is the one area where Dodge excells, that car is beautiful even if it was a wagon, it was cool and attractive and looked great with custom wheels.

The Magnum was one of Doges best success stories. A great car to own. Juat make sure you don't buy the small V6 motor. Get the large V6 or the V8. That small V6 was introduced so they could advertise great gas mileage figures for the car but the engine is too small and too weak for that size car.
