Most topical medications will only help shorten the healing time when you have the zits, but never prevent them from forming. Antibiotics stop working once you quit and you know you cannot rely on them forever. For me, the only thing possibly help is bc and related hormonal treatment, but...
I am in a very odd period of life. I always want to have children but never conceived. Later this year I will make my final decision to either try IVF or just simply give up. (The funny thing is that even I am probably too old for having a child but still have cysts here and there once or twice a month.) Before I make up my mind, hormonal treatments are out of my concerns.
Besides the traditional treatments, I have tried a 10-session BLUE-U treatment for my acnes. It costs me a lot of money and time. My face cleared up during the time of treatment for about 6 weeks. And it went back to the normal. I was very frustrating.
Has anyone tried photo dynamic/ laser treatment for the acne? I would love to give it a try if the outlook seems positive.
