I know there are some out there who have tried a bed wedge....me being one of them. I've tried two.
I've been using a wedge for 2-1/2 months. The one I used was only 24 inches long and it cut me off at the waist. I know this is not good for the reflux thing but I've been having another problem only since I've been using it. I am experiencing abdominal muscle...cramps or twinges, I guess you could call them. I can tell it's not internal, like intestinal or stomach...it's more muscular. They are intermittent and some days it doesn't hardly bother me. It almost seems like I've been doing crunches for hours every night. I'm thinking maybe during sleep I'm trying to keep myself from sliding off that I'm over working the muscles. I bought a larger, more expensive one and still have the same problem with sliding.
The muscle thing is still there.
I really don't like the wedge and I never really had a problem with night time reflux so I'm not sure I need it. I've been thinking about getting bed risers and raise the head of the bed instead.
Last night I took a couple Gaviscon, even though I didn't need them at the time and slept flat. I'll see how I feel today.
Just wondering if anyone experienced this?
