anyone ever gotten off ppis?

I'm curious and want to hear from the people who have gotten off ppis". I've been off them for 1 month after being on them for 2 years. I've got this toxic feeling and taste in my mouth. It's like my body has collected a lot of toxins after being on them for so long. Has anyone had anything similar to this? If so how long did it last? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I just stopped yesterday so I can't tell yet/ I feel better so I thought I didn't want to stay on them. I do have a new perscription if I need it again.
