Anyone else see this Set PVR from online ?

Today I was checking online at bell - "Whats on tonight"

Enter the keywords or whatever you want to search for

click on one of the results. Then click 'add' it then asks for your phone number and PIN you use with BEV.

There is now a red record button on the left side, the text says 'coming soon'

This looks like an interesting new feature... Jim
 
It sounds like a nice option, especially when you forget to record something, although I'm guessing I will have to buy a wireless phone jack, so it will be connected to a phone line
 
I remember when I was looking at switching to Bell ExpressVu (over 3 years ago now) this feature was "coming soon" back then too.
 
Not quite 10 years for Tivo (They began remote scheduling in 2003) but it is one of the features that has made me look into Tivo more seriously. I ended up the slingbox route.
 
Interesting feature... I wonder how it will work, if there is any turning on of the box or anything. Hope it's not some stupid reminder system.
 
Look closely at what is says on the "enter phone number page. It sends text messages - big hairy deal Bell.
 
That's what I thought. Because you need to have an online network set-up and a whole jungle of fancy equipment to do what Tivo does on there servers.
