Anyone else find it amazing how fast the news media rewrote history?

Yesterday the President and his wife met the Queen. Both made a very serious breach of protocol. First, the President, by shaking the Queen's hand, and then Michelle even further with the quasi hug. The hug so grabbed everyone's attention that nobody seemed to notice that shaking the Queen's hand is a serious no-no.

This morning all the headlines were about how Michelle screwed up. And today the headline is about how the Queen loves her (when in fact she kinda recoiled if you see the video), and they even now say the Queen made the move and breached protocol herself (which of course the Queen is entitled to do).

How did history change in just 6 hours?
 
History didn't change.

People just realized it was no big deal and the Queen wasn't upset.

Please, is this the best you can do?
