Anyone begin homeschooling, then return their kids to public school, then go

back to homeschooling? We pulled our child from public school a year ago. Both me and my husband were on board with the decision and it was the best solution for that time. Due to lack of cooperation from our child, it was a bittersweet experience. After much debate and cries from our child to return to public school, we sent our child back this year. My husband figured if our child wasn't going to listen to me and get the necessary work done that it was the best choice for now. Neither of us wished to see our child fall any further behind. We knew our child liked being at home but was very adamant about completing any amount of work. Our hope was that our child would see how good they had it while homeschooling and this has now come to fruition. Our child is now asking, sometimes begging, for us to homeschool again. We would like to get back to homeschooling yet feel it is important for our child to follow through with the remainder of the school year. This child has had a big problem with following through in various areas and we just don't want to promote instant gratification just because our child "wants" to be removed from their school. Not to mention, I recently had some unexpected surgery and I admit, having our child going to school outside the home right now is of some help with my recovery. We do not wish to torment our child nor keep them in public school as a means of punishment. It is just the best course of action for the time being. I sure hope we can all make it until the end of May! Anyway, just curious if anyone has been in a similar situation, public school, then homeschooled, back to public, and then returning to homeschooling. Thanks.
