Anybody want to get back to cooking?

I'm really sick and tired about the hateful trend in some of the
threads lately, all of which is totally unrelated to cooking. So,
here's my random start in order to get back to what this newsgroup is
all about. I don't give a damn whether you like the recipe or not -
I'm just trying to get my point across.

CORNED BEEF HASH

-------- ------------ --------------------------------
1/2 pound leftover corned beef
1 small leftover potato
1/2 medium onion
1 clove garlic -- minced
1 teaspoon hot sauce, or to taste

Pull the leftover corned beef apart with your fingers then dice until
you have a pile of shredded beef. Leave enough fat on the meat or your
hash will dry out when you're cooking it. Dice the leftover potato
into very small cubes, as small as you can get them. Do the same with
one small or half of a medium onion.

Fire up a frying pan or a griddle and toss a few teblespoons of butter
or margarine on. When the pan is hot enough, start frying the onions
and add the garlic. When the onions are just starting to brown, add
the corned beef and potatoes. Then add some Tabasco or your favorite
hot sauce. Grill until everything is nice & hot (remember, everything
was cooked yesterday) or until its brown the way you like it.

Salt & pepper to taste, serve with some eggs and you're all set.

So am I. However, if someone attacks me on this group or anywhere
else, I counter attack.

With your recent "Goodbye Landon" post, it seems you don't like people
who stand up for themselves. You'd rather have a bitch like "Janet" be
able to bully people on the group who DARE to disagree with her.

Oh well, instead of Usenet, perhaps you can find a Convent somewhere
to discuss your recipes. This place won't change. Its been a
back-biting, argumentative, spiteful and hateful group of people for
many years.

Just pick which posts you wish to read and be done with it.

People like Squirts and Janet will always be here and people like me
will always give them back their abuse in kind. However much I would
like to do it in person, I'm forced to reply here.

Get over it.

No, it wasn't. It's a money making enterprise consisting of many
farms, properties and businesses. The income from it is taxed

http://www.duchyofcornwall.org/abouttheduchy.htm

The Duchy estate was created in 1337 by Edward III for his son and heir,
Prince Edward (later known as The Black Prince) who became the first Duke
of Cornwall. The Duchy?s primary function is to provide an income from its
assets for The Prince of Wales....
Under the 1337 charter, and as confirmed by subsequent legislation, The
Prince of Wales is not entitled to the proceeds or profit on the sale of
assets, and only receives the annual income which they generate, which is
voluntarily subject to income tax....
The Duke chooses to use a large proportion of the income from the Duchy to
meet the cost of his public and charitable work. The Duchy also funds the
public, charitable and private activities of The Duchess of Cornwall and
Princes William and Harry. The Duchy consists of around 54,090 hectares of
land in 23 counties, mostly in the South West of England. The principal
activity of the Duchy is the sustainable and commercial management of its
land and properties. The Duchy also has a financial investment portfolio.
The agricultural estate consists of arable and livestock farms including
some smallholdings. The Duchy promotes high quality residential and
commercial building programmes where its land is designated for
development by local authorities. Where possible it converts its redundant
farm buildings to work places in order to encourage small businesses
within the countryside.

Wrong again. Neither of them was paid by taxpayers. The Prince of Wales,
who is also Duke of Cornwall, gets his income from the Duchy of Cornwall
estates. He pays income tax on it.

When Diana died, her assets consisted of her own inheritances from family,
her divorce settlement form Charles, and her jewellery and personal
effects. Her sons got what was left after the Treasury took 8 million
inheritance tax from it.

Dora, I will try browning my onions, next time. I just cooked them
until they were transparent, so I will see if this makes a difference in
the taste. Thanks for the recipe.

Successive generations of British Royals have led an increasingly normal
life including security and personal safety risks that would not have been
permitted a generation ago. William spent 4 years at university here in
Scotland, living a completely normal student life, with no hassle or
security problems and almost no media attention. By all accounts his life
and work in Wales is pretty similar.

I expect the same is true of your president.

Its a small but busy unit, no room for slackers.

What a shame, when you seem to know so little about them :-)

Lets talk about the Royal Wedding instead.

I think they should be elope. The whole thing is a media game. There
is no way two people could be in love surrounded by all this publicity

Does it even speak? Does she even think for herself? What kinds of
drugs is she on?

I think leaders and public officials should be elected. I don't
believe that your birthright should set the stage for your status in
society for the rest of your life.
