I only discovered kate bush's wurthering heights song probably only 10 years ago, but knew it was older than that. I liked it. I still listen to it once in a while.
Then I today I found another version of the song with her singing a lot higher and I found it extremely annoying, like most people have said they perceive it. I also noticed that at around the guitar solo thru the end, she doesn't vocalize and sing again. It's just the guitar as it fades out.
I found out on wikipedia that the song was her first single, but anybody know which version was it, back in the day? And then she rerecorded it later, which explains a second version. Anybody know the reason? Did people tell her to sing it differently or did she feel she wanted to sing it differently?
