it would only be the alternator if its draining the battery down on it,if it has power when you try and start it the alternator is more than likely good,you need to be checking the starter to see if its working right or the battery connections to the starter,if it keeps running the battery down all the time and not trying to start have the battery and the alternator checked,any parts store will do that for free,good luck.
