any word on the new os for pearl?

hey all,
i know this is an on going question, but does anyone know if they are even going to have an OS update for the Pearl anytime soon? all i keep finding on the forums are teases to a new OS upgrade lol any info would be appreciated!
 
Since you are posting in the TMO thread I assume you are on .64 (as am I). You can use any of the other carriers OS if you like. Each seems to have its own enhancements and little quirks...Is there a specific issue you want to correct or improve on? You may want to surf the threads and see if any of newer upgrades addresses your issues. I have been satisfied with my current version (sometimes the devil you know is better than the alternatives... )
 
I have the TMO Pearl and was thinking about upgrading the OS to AT&T or Rogers 4.2.1.96 or 4.2.1.94, however I just wonder if I will lose the myFaves Icon. I assume that is a TMO thing and maybe why there OS upgrades take a bit longer. I know that you don't need myFaves icon for proper billing, but it is a nice feature. I was intrigued by the newer OS for the separate Mail baskets for SMS and Emails.

I don't use myfavs, but yeah i don't think it'll work with another carrier's OS.

i'm also running the 1.96 OS, but i've been able to seperate the messages for some time now with even older OS' like the TIM Italy one, plus some themes allow you do it too.
 
~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~you will not lose the myfavs. I am a tmo user, and I have the newest att OS and use it with no problems. I still have the myfavs app and everything.
 
So, i have updated Desktop Software, then installed new OS, and according the instructions I should see an Update Now option, but I don't see it. Any help on how to start the firmware update
