My boyfriend backed into a pole last night in my 05 Toyota Corolla. Barely any damage was done, as he was merely backing up slowly, but the SRS Warning light for the airbag system came on and it will not go off. I suppose the impact set off the sensor in the system, and now my airbags are disabled. I read in the manual that it needs to be taken to the dealer to be reset but I was wondering if there is any other way to solve this issue? I was told by the dealer that it would cost, at the least, $80.00 unless there was a problem. Any ideas?

Nope, have to take it in, and get it diagnosed as to what the problem is. May have to have the module replaced, as it was tripped somehow from that bump in the rear.
