Any way to find out E61 product code, through software?

If your E61 has had its product code changed so that it's no longer the one listed on the sticker, is there any way to find out WHICH code it currently has? Through any pc application or on-phone method?

I tried using Nemesis, but whenever I tried the "read" option to find out the code, it just goes into an endless wait cycle trying to read data, but never reporting anything. At least not for the ten minutes that I left it trying, before giving up and closing it.

Does anyone know of any method what would work, to discover the currently written product code?
 
The newer version of NSS which I have, apparently no longer requires the patch (gsmmagic or whatever it was called) to enable all the features. The "write" option is already able to be enabled from within the software, which means everything else should work.

I left it in "reading data..." for ten minutes but it was still at 0% complete when I came back. That makes me think it isn't working for some reason...?
