Any way to change specific keyboard auto corrections?

I'm currently using the N1 and when I'm typing I use ":" a lot, but it always connects back to the word I just spelled, even if I put a space in between (for example, if I try to type "happy :]" then it will correct itself to "happy: ]". I know this is kind of picky, but is there any way to specifically change the virtual keyboard settings so that it doesn't do that?

Just use the "smilies" that are pre-built into the keyboard. You may be able to disable all auto-correction to fix this, but the Android keyboard will automatically correct those types of punctuation "mistakes" so they have the proper spacing.

Just press the smiley button on the VK or long-press to bring up the whole menu.
