Yeah....my experience tells me it costs about $1,000 per pound to make a bike lighter but at only 15 to 20 lbs why do you need it to be any lighter? If it is a road bike then see above to get it lighter and if it weighs in at close to 20 lbs now, .....you need a lighter frame anyway! Wheelsets are the biggest bang for your buck here. I went from SX24 wheels on a mtb up to Mavic Crossride SL's and that shaved about 1.5lbs off of the previous weight, went from a standard octalink crank and BB up to an XTR crank and shaved another 15 oz off the bike and the list goes on .....8 lbs shaved off at 1k per lb. with all the best or near best components available on the market.
