Boasting highway fuel economy of 40 m.p.g., European handling and Ford's global design theme, the Fiesta aims to be Ford's first no-excuses subcompact.
The practical and sleek hatchback and more traditional sedan will come with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine and Ford's first dual-clutch transmission. The six-speed transmission combines the easy, hands-off operation of a conventional automatic gearbox with the fuel economy of a manual.
Fiesta features will include keyless entry, pushbutton start, hands-free mobile phone operation, voice-control of iPods, a driver's knee air bag, front-seat side air bags and curtain air bags for both rows of seats. The Fiesta seats five and has a 60/40-split folding rear seat for cargo..?
