Any suggestions for a camping trip?

my boyfriend and some of our friends are all looking to go on a weekend camping trip before the summer ends and we all go back to college. we want to go somewhere pretty close to long island, maybe upstate but not to far.
anyone know of any good camping grounds?

also, we are looking to go the old fashioned way;tents
