Again, do you demand full methodological analyses of every poll you read an article about? Yes or no?

The Quinnipiac University Poll, directed by Douglas Schwartz, Ph.D., conducts public opinion surveys in Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Florida, Ohio and the nation as a public service and for research. This is their standard summary. It's on every single survey they do, even if they have the survey in one state and say as such. http://www.quinnipiac.edu/x1296.xml?ReleaseID=1459
The summery can't be counted as evidence that this one in question was done nationwide.

I emailed them, they replied:
This poll was a standard RDD telephone survey of the contiguous United States. It includes interviews with cell phone only respondents. The final sample is representative of the population 18 and over by area, gender, race, age as well as rabroad
her demographic considerations .

Whoa hold up there bud, you mean to tell me this survey consisting of 2,000 plus represents the 300 million plus population of the nation.

Yeah. I kinda do. It's important to know if they're surveying my neighbors or just people in Alaska. You can do a proper survey but limiting it to a small area manipulates the results.

It only takes one sentence to say: This poll was conducted nationwide by telephone call.
