I play hockey and I absolutely love it! You may have played at school and got a bad experience from it, but try joining a club in your area and you'll find a totally different atmosphere and standard!
However, hockey can be expensive when buying shin pads, stick, um shield, hand guard and astros (you can get these for cheap as well as expensive though)
Another idea is netball. It's a quick game and all you need is gym kit to play really!!
