Any recommendations for baby safe paints?

My son is under a year old. I would like to at least get his hand and feet prints but if the paint is safe (and ingestible) then I would love to also just let him play in it. Could you give recommendations for both? Non-toxic paints that I could use on his hands and feet as well as paint that is safe to ingest? I imagine that food paints might be safe for a baby but I'm not sure. Also, would food paints be subject to going off?

Funny you mention this, because I just tried something out with my 10 month old daughter. This won't help for the hand/feet prints, but it would for something to play in.

I've been giving her YoBaby organic yogurt because I've got eczema, and I've read some studies which indicate that this may help her not develop eczema. I noticed that she really loves to swirl around the drops which fall on the high chair tray.

I tinted some vanilla yogurt with some cherry and blueberry juice (makes pink and blue), put a little mound of each on either side of her tray, stripped her down to a diaper and let her go to town. She all but shampooed herself with the stuff...but she had a blast. Since it was yogurt, I didn't have to worry if she stuck her fingers in her mouth (which, indeed, she did.)
