I really wanted to get one, was hoping for them to bump the displacement up to 500 cc, im tired of there not being any cool midranged bikes.

But anyone know why?

If you look at the web page http://www.suzukicycles.com/Product%20Lines/Cycles.aspx?year=2010 the only street bike being offered in 2010 is the GZ250. I am quite sure that when they do announce all of the 2010 models that the TU250X will be included.

The bike you and I want is the Tempter, home market only as a 400cc single. More likely to be offered Stateside with the 652cc motor from the S40.

There's only one reason for discontinuing a model: Poor sales. In the case of a model such as the TU250, there may be enough of them in warehouses that Suzuki will stop importing them for the 2010 model year, and bring them back in 2011 if they sell out the back stock. This is practical to do with a model such as this, because it is unlikely to see any significant updates from year to year.
A 500cc version is unlikely: It would have to be a twin-cylinder, and Suzuki already has the Gladius in the lineup.
