has anyone tried this? might be a solution for spc. reading the back up file then converting it to a word doc. i havent gone through the whole thing yet.

it has nothing to do with the address..memory is not readable, and blackberry's arent gonna be that much of a demand since the popularity in android phones is so much greater. It's easier to pay for a spc, and get it in two hours than the time and effort to attempt to break these phones. If your a shop just carry over the cost of getting the spc into the flash. If it's for you it's well worth the cost of getting a spc as it will save you alot of wasted hours.

I kind of agree, except the part about android phones. True the demand might be greater in popularity, however with this recession not everyone has the cash to fork over the $400+ for a new Android phone.
I called several shops who did the flashing over blackberry curve 8530, some charged an overwhelming $60 price, until I found a very reputable shop that did it for $35, fully flash in the cricket network (it is a Sprint phone) and everything. When the flashing price is within reasonable price, there wouldn't be a need to try and DIY.
