Wow! Lots of great ideas here!
It looks like most of you have left the passenger footboards or pegs on even though there's nowhere for a passenger to sit.
For those of you that removed them, what did you do to the spot where they were attached?
i got a couple of black plastic plugs from lowes and stuck them in the holes. but for long rides, i put them back on, gives you another place to put your feet.
The passenger boards have never been bolted to this bike. Black magic marker works well for the inside of the trheards, or use a paint pen, or touch up paint.
The bike looks so much cleaner when the big boards come off the back.
Mustang solo on my '07 Road King Classic. Very comfortable for the long haul. Removed the passenger footboards and plugged the holes with plastic plugs.
Great thread as I plan to go with a C&C solo soon.
Julie I went with Street Glide pegs/mounts off an '09 that a forum member here had for sale. They'r sleek and look good but not as bulky looking as the foot boards. I rarely have a passenger but when I do I can just swap the seats in a minute or two.
Not to hijack a thread but does anyone have picture of a sundowner solo using a rear seat rail. I have seen the rails on ebay that say they are for use with sundowner or mustang but they don't have pictures of it installed. Some very nice bikes in this thread. I have a solo seat coming for my RKC. Thanks
