Any one else think Happy Feet wasn't that good?

Don't get me wrong, the graphics were stunning but the storyline...

It was like they spent all their time and resources on animating tap dancing penguins and then threw a storyline on top of it!

Then they decided the storyline wasn't long enough and tacked on some more.

My ten year old sis was pretty bored with it.

I'm with you on this. I was disappointed with it, I was expecting a soft fluffy movie for kiRAB, but this seemed to drag on until the end where upon it quickly concluded. My two kiRAB (6 and 4) were not that impressed. I seem to be disappointed with a lot of childrens films recently!!.

To cap it all there was a trailer for a film called "The Reef" a fish story!!

A bit harsh methinks. The director is the guy behind the Babe movies which are known for using cuteness to address grown up themes (as many children's authors do) so the ending wasn't that unexpected.
The best talking animals flick this year was still Over the Hedge though IMO.

I've been dragged along (by my son) to see most of the CG family films this year and Monster House is the only one I can vouch for.
Funny animals doing funny things can only take a film so far - after that you need some kind of story and characterisation.
I've run out of patience with these films so my boy will have to see Happy Feet and Flushed Away on DVD later.

Loved Over the Hedge, Open Season was surprisingly Brilliant. Really Liked that. Flushed Away I thought was great but Happy Feet just looks dull and boring. My 6 Year old brother who usually wants to see all CG movies showed no intrest whatsoever in it when he seen adverts etc.

By the Way, Thought Monster house was by far the worst Film I have seen this year.

I'm with you and I'm a tad older than 14 :o My 10 year old son thought it was the best movie he'd seen. Though I love dance and music, so that maybe helped. Can't wait until it comes out on DVD.

sorry, it was 'crappy feat' for me, i was hoping the seal would put us out of our misery. quite liked the little mexican penguins, but they couldnt save this one.

Not seen it myself yet, but I've a big soft spot for penguins...

In the US, FOX NEWS business pundit Neil Cavuto, said he thought it was "like an animated Inconvenient Truth." He wondered if Hollywood was trying to "sneak one by us," and he claimed the movie has a "hidden agenda" that is "pretty far left."

Of course they'd be outraged if you accused them of being "pretty far right", lol......
