Any one actually know anything about renix era jeep cherokees?

I have a 1989 Jeep Cherokee that is the biggest pos I have ever owned. It is nothing but problems. Nothing works right on it. Yes all the basic maintenance has been done. Yes I take care of it. Hell I can't even drive the damn thing. It idles so rough I swear it's having a seizure, In a 1/4 drive the thing stalled on me 3 times. YOu have to crank the shit out of it to get it to start and my gas mileage is less than 8 mpg. Sometimes it's only around 5. It has been recently tuned up, the head casket has been replaced, the o2 sensor has been replaced as well as the fuel rail and all 6 of the injectors. We bought this thing to do some serious modifications and make it one heck of an off road vehicle BUT we can't even keep it running. Any suggestions?
 
it sounds like you have the 2.8 v6 that particular motor is why jeep will NEVER again have anything to do with GM I am a jeep lover and have a truck that I have had for 23 years I have also had a 89 Cherokee with a 2.8 v6. If that is the motor that is in your jeep SELL IT!!! the 4.0 inline 6 is a great motor as is the newer 360 in the grand Cherokee or if you can get an older model with the Buick 350 those are very dependable, The only other alternative unfortunately is a gallon of gas & a match, the 2.8 is not even WORTH trying to fix.
