I was wondering how you felt/reacted when your child told you they were enlisting in the military?
I am 21 years old, I have lived on my own for over 2 years, however I am still worried about telling my parents that I plan to enlist in the royal Navy. I think part of it is that we live in canada (I am a british citizen- born there) we immigrated here in 1994, so me joining the royal navy would mean me moving to britain, and my parents had a hard time when I moved to another province.
