English is absolutely necessary for career growth or for getting a job in today’s age. The knowledge of English is required for getting jobs even in the non English speaking countries, so the bar is set pretty high for those who can’t speak the language. In many countries like India, China and Singapore English is a second language, and was considered to be the language of the elite class. Now however it is considered a global language and is mandatory for people who want a brilliant career.
English being one of the world’s most widely used languages is spoken by around 300 million people in over 53 countries. It is spoken by people all around the world and it is, maybe, the only language that truly links the whole world together. It is the native language for people living in the United States, Britain, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and some Caribbean countries. A large amount of people from non English speaking countries often look to settle down in the United States, Britain or Australia. Employers in these places will focus their interviews more on the person’s communication skills and his ability to express himself in a confident manner rather than his qualifications. People working in the hospitality or tourism industries would need to interact with people from different countries. The aviation and navigation sector uses English as its main means of communication. Those working in multinational firms will be often sent overseas to different countries. So learning to speak the language the world speaks would lower the barriers which tie a person to his country and even give him a strong background.

Thats my article! i need to write a blurb for it!
