If so i'm going to meet him on wednesday. For those who don't know he's a famous director of films and has created such classics as 'kes'.

I've never heard of him until now, although i did see a stage extract of kes which was very good. But i'm presenting an opening of a new internet TV station so knowing me i'll make a fool out of myself in front of him :D But i haven't heard of him till this week so hopefully I won't make too much of a fool of myself lol

Does anyone have any questions they would like me to ask cus i'm meeting him and if i'm presenting i'm sure i'll get to talk to him.

So any fans out there with questions? Remember there's always the possibility he won't be able to make it or i won't get the chance to speak to him so don't be too dissapointed :)

Hang on, you are presenting the opening of an internet TV
channel, so you are obviously media connected and you have never heard of Ken Loach?. Hang your head in shame.

I suggest you check the Sixteenfilms website and the British Film Institute website, you are probably about to be in the presence of the most talented individual you have ever met.

well im only 16 and i'm still new to this world! :D

I'll check it out - i wanna get some research done incase i do meet him :) He sounRAB like a great person!

Whoops sorry :o

As a pointer he won best film for The Wind that Shakes the Barley in 2006 at Cannes. Caused a bit of a rumpus in Britain though.

Good Luck.

I'm not a Ken Loach fan at all. I feel he's into sentimentality and milking me for every drop of sentiment in my body and I'm not having it!

But that was not your question: enjoy your meeting :)

Actually an interesting question would be did he think Ricky Tomlinson and Robert Carlyle would be as succesful as they turned out to be when he worked with them on Riff Raff?

Ditto Land and Freedom.

I too am extremely jealous.

hehe i know i shouldn't but i love people being jealous of me :D

I might ask what it was like working with RT and RC, and if he ever thought they'd be as big as they are now. (Won't meantion the riff raff bit :D )

Last time i went to one of these do's the celeb didn't turn up - i hope this doesn't happen again - however the celeb then was fred the weatherman so we didn't really miss much :D

It's nearly time! The questions are finalized and the camera's are being pre-pared and ken loach will be in the studio in about 4 hours so now we're about to rehearse! :D I can't wait!

I've also met someone who knows Russell T. Davies!! How good is today for me, eh? :D

it went GREAT.

He was a totally down to earth guy, and now they're having a screening of the wind that shook the barley and the uni.

Some bits did go a bit wrong, but he was cool about them. He came into the studio, and whilst they were setting up the technical things, he came in, sat next to me and talked, he asked me if going to be like 'grahem norton' and i looked at him in shock, then he said 'well maybe not him.... Jonathan Ross?' And i just smilied :D

I screwed up on the word 'infulence' - i just couldn't say it! But he carried on with his answer which was good. And i forgot the name of his film which he is making atm (not these times another one which is out later this year) and i told him, which i shouldn't really have done.

Except for that i think i did alright. Funny thing is when he came in he started altering the lightening :D What a true director lol

He's a top notch guy, and seen as though i only got to rehearse this afternoon for two hours (an hour and a half of that messing with the techno stuff which didn't work) i think it went well.

The floor manager kept telling me the time we had left, and i found it quite hard under the time restrainght (yeah i know i spelt it wrong lol) but it went swell.

I got interviewed with another worker after the interview from preston radio about what i thought of him etc, so i'll be on the radio as well as internet TV! I'm becoming a celebrity... :D

Then at the end i had a disscussion and said how sorry i was for forgetting the name of his film and he said it was fine, and i got his autograph.

All in all, it was a great day. I met loaRAB of new people, and it was very much fun!

The show should be online soon :)
