Every so often you hear some encouraging news about a sequel then it all goes quiet for a while. Both David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson are up for a sequel and are apparently signed on.
The problem however is that to get the film made you need both Chris Carter and Fox and at the moment they are locked in a legal dispute. Until that's resolved a sequel will not be made
And I didn't mean that just because you don't post on the board you're not a 'real' fan. I was just talking about actual 'casual' fans. People who would maybe watch the show if they saw it on but not something they really loved. For example I am a casual fan of Medium, if I notice it's on I might watch it but it's not something I go searching for in the schedules.
Would the fact that it was an X-Files film be enough to get those casual fans along to the cinema to see it, or would it have to depend on the plot and the reviews it got etc.
I was not trying to accuse anyone of not being a real fan because they didn't post on the board or anything like that, and I apologise if you were insulted at all
