any ideas for first car?

i cant decide between a truck or a car,
i'm turning 16 in less than year so i really need to figure it out.
I'm a girl by the way,

ugh, for some reason i REALLY want a toyota tacoma either an early model or a sr5,
but of course those are expensive and hard to find,

what are some cute smaller cars that get good gas mileage and are cheap yet reliable ?
 
Hi, and it depends how much you want to spend. I'm 16 too and just got my first car. I'd say get a used bmw. They are reliable, safe, and you look really cool driving one. My parents bought me a 1999 323i for $6,000. And we looked at audi, mercedes, and porsche. If you want a 2 seater roadester for under 9,000 get a porsche 1999-2001 boxster. If you want a small sedan or coupe get a 1999-2002 bmw 3-series which would cost roughly 6,000-9,000 for a nice one. If you want a large sedan get an audi a6. We looked at a 2004 with 50,000 miles for only 9,500.
