Strange issue I can't figure out at all...
The truck runs ok generally, but needs a tune up.
However, when it rains, and only when it rains, the truck seems to lose radiator fluid. It then has transmission problems and doesn't want to shift into second gear.
If I put more fluid in the radiator, it runs ok again. And it doesn't lose fluid except when it rains.
I check it almost daily now just to make sure it isn't losing the fluid all the time and only effects the vehicle when raining. But since it is raining, I can't track a leak or anything like that.
It seems like a pressure thing due to the loss of fluid, but why would that affect my tranny?
I have checked the tranny fluid at various times when it is acting up and when it isn't. I find no bubbles, discoloration, metal, or the fluid to be changing in it's amount.
Seriously stumped here and two mechanics I have let look at it have no idea. ANY serious suggestions of where to look would be appreciated.
