Any home remedies/cures for severe dryness behind ears?

I've had dryness behind my ears for quite some time now. It's recently gotten severe and is very painful. Even water hitting them makes them sting. I'd like to know if anyone has any home remedies of curing this?

Oh yeah, right now i'm using Vaseline (petroleum jelly). the only problem with this is that it'll work for a couple hours but still dries out and causes my ears to flake severely. Any help would be appreciated!
 
S T O P with the vaseline = petroleum and not a healthy product in fact it may be drying you out more.

Get some Neosporin and apply it twice a day especially at bed time.
Take a multivitamin and add some e to your supplements.

Drink more water.
