I've been on the hunt for the perfect leather journal as a gift. A friend and I will be creating a book for our two best friends, and we've got a very specific idea in mind.
If it exists, we'd like to find a nice-sized leather journal, filled with parchment or creamy-colored pages, and no lines. It would be even better if it had some sort of simple embossing on the front and a clasp or tie of some sort.
Most importantly, it has to look old. Like the sort of thing that a movie character would find in the back of the library, covered with dust and full of drawings and maps and clues to an ancient artifact (or whatever ancient, dusty, leather journals should point to).
Does anyone know where we could find one, preferably under 50 dollars? I've been hunting around on Amazon, but it's hard to tell if there are lines on the pages or not.
