Any good uses for a dead palm?

I have a dead lifedrive (I know, wrong forum, but bare with me, Im just looking for ideas). It's pretty much due to a bad hdd, so the screen and I have to assume the rest of it is in perfect working order.

I'd like to make some use of it, maybe like a sort of digital picture frame or something, since the screen is fine. I'm wondering if anyone has seen/done anything like that, or have any ideas for another alternate use.

Or if someone could direct me to a palm modding site, that would be helpful too.

I have heard that the LifeDrive uses a MicroDrive card. I'm not quite sure if you could replace the MicroDrive because it is possible that the drive needs to be partitioned a certain way. One idea is to open your LD and try reconnecting the card. Sometimes static electricity needs to be discharged.
You could also try selling your device to a parts supplier.
