Any good tips for a fantasy baseball newbie?

I'm joining a fantasy baseball league for the first time and really have no idea what I'm doing. I'm in it for fun and don't want to get too crazy doing hardcore research, but I'd at least like to go in knowing a little. I'm particularly unsure about how to handle the draft. Can anyone give me some tips, quick resources for information, etc. Anything which may be helpful.

Not sure if this is helpful, but here are the stat categories used in the league:

The batting categories are Average (AVG), On Base Percentage (OBP), Slugging (SLG), Runs (R), Singles (1B), Doubles (2B), Triples (3B), Home Runs (HR), Runs Batted In (RBI), Stolen Bases (SB), Walks (BB), and Strikeouts (K).
The pitching categories are Earned Run Average (ERA), Walks & Hits per Innings Pitched (WHIP), Wins (W), Losses (L), Complete Games (CG), Saves (SV), Strikeouts (K), and Holds (HLD).

wow, thats a lot of categories and I'm telling you its a bit complicated. but anyway, it is very important that you have a good draft. and if you do have, there's a big possibility that you will win the league.

in preparing for a draft, you need to see who are you going to pick. it is very important to read all the list (yahoo, ESPN and CBS are good sources for preparing the draft), mock draft results and injury news.

while at draft, it is very important that in the first three rounds, you have to pick the best available players at the draft because these players will decide where your team will be in the final standings. the next six to ten rounds, you will go for the best positional players. meaning you have to fill up your team in every position because these players will help your best three players in the team. and the final rounds, you will pick all players that will fill up your bench. it is here that you will find sleepers. sleepers are players that are not well-known but could made an impact for your team this season.

at the start of the season, it is very important to monitor your team. start every player that needs to start each day. start players that has a favorable match-up so are the pitchers.
