Any good sites for finding info on how to fix small issues with cars?

I have a 97 mercury sable and I tried to pull my cell phone charger out of the cigarette lighter but accidently pulled out the whole lighter. I cant figure out how to get it back in and was wondering if anyone had a good site to find that kind of info.
 
I don't know of a website, but I can tell you what happened.

The power port/cigarette lighter core has screw threads on it at the end that inserts into the dash board (basically the back). There is a corresponding shell that came losse and is probably inside your dashboard. The hard part is removing (without breaking) the right dash board panels to get the shell out and screw it back into place.

You might try visiting your library to see if they have any repair manuals for that model vehicle, which might be able to show you how to disassemble the dash board.

It usually isn't that hard to figure out. They are normally held together with a combination of screws (sometimes hidden) and snap fastners. Working carefully and patiently, you should be able to figure it out without a manual.
