For a long time now my older sister's been looking to get a Teddy bear dog(Shih-Tzu/Bichon Frise) anyway the only breeder that's closest to her in Washington(the state) is actually a long drive...I mean a long way. Anyway, I decided to try to help her find a dog closer to where I live but so far the only place that seems to carry teddy bears are the pet stores and a lot of their dogs have a high price tag whereas the pups from breeders aren't as expensive.
Anybody know any good places in California that sell Teddy bear dogs?
no rude answers please, my sister's looking to BUY a puppy NOT adopt a shelter dog. I don't have anything against adopting shelter dogs, if a person wants to do so that's fine, my first dog was from a rescue and I had her for 13 good years but she had trouble socializing with other people because her previous
owner(s) may have abused her whereas my current dogs(both fully grown) know no fear since they're both from breeders and haven't been mistreated. I've spent time with a couple purebred Shih-Tzus and they seem to be really laid back.
