The History Channel had a good series (see YouTube) called "Building An Empire:

It included good episodes on:

The Aztec Empire
The Mayans
Ancient Egypt
China
Greece
Rome

If you can read big words, then I also recommend the book:

"The Eastern Origins of Western Civilization"
by John Hobson

Are there any documentaries out there that tells you about the timeline of technology or discoveries? Or a documentary of where we went from the paleolithic to neolithic stone age? or the discovery of handling fire and basic stone tools? Or a documentary that progresses not only the stone age but also the copper, bronze, iron, renaissance, industrial and so on? or a documentary that showed we went from using natural fire energy to fossil fuel to nuclear energy? Any documentaries that has something to do with all of these?
