On myspace there are these applications that lets you have virtual pet, virtual daughter or son. So you would take care of these character as though you're playing a game card. There's no real person on the otherside, it's just a computer program.
I've been on zwinky and I can understand your Mom's disapproval of it. I would to if I were her.
