Hello everyone, so i have three fish in a five gallon tank:
-a common goldfish
-a black moore goldfish
-a placto (sucker fish)
I'm very new to fish and I've noticed some problems going on with my common goldfish and black moore, but mostly my common goldfish. They both sit on the bottom of the tank, usually behind the little plant I have in there. I thought this was strange. My black moore jerks and swims a little funny. My common goldfish however is the one I'm really worried about.

It has red spots all over its body (I'm assuming these are blood spots.) And now its fins are deteriorating. The fins are flushed and the only remaining color I see is either dark orange or red. It looks like a broom. My goldfish also seems a little paler than usual.

I've looked and looked all over the internet for an answer but I can't really find an answer that fits exactly. I thought it was ammonia poisoning so i changed the water and put a nuetralizer in it but it doesn't seem to be making a difference...I also looked at different descriptions of fungus and parasites but I'm only becoming more confused. I'm really upset because its getting worse and I have no idea what to do.

Please help! =(

you should learn too many things about keeping fish. 5 gallon tank is too small for your fishes. A goldfish need minimum 15 gallon of water.

well i work at walmart in the petdepartment and take care of the fish there all the time.. sounds like they may have ick if his fins are rotted that much its 2late.. you could use quick cure.. try aquarium salt that will perk them up a little bit.. but wen the lay on the bottom like that and if there fins are down they are weak.. sumtimes wen u by the fish its a bad group of them. and u just need to get new ones a diff time.. not always your fault
