i have a 1997 ford mustang, just the regular one, not the gt or lx, 3.8L, V6. i just recently replaced the fuel pump and fuel filter and accidently put an extra quart of oil into the engine when i was stuck on the side of the road. i just drove 700 miles to get here [miami] to college and i don't want to have to pay for a mechanic if the engine oil is the problem. the check engine light was on the whole time on the ride here and it was fine. a few days ago i was driving on campus here and my car started shaking and not wanting to stay on and the check engine light started flashing so i just immediately parked. there was no odd noises and the gauges all seemed to be fine except for the rpms which were fluctuating from normal to low.
i honestly don't know whats wrong with my baby, and i know i'm not supposed to do things like that, but i had no choice, i don't want any ridiculous answers like how i shouldn't have, or i'm an idiot for doing that, i already know. any ideas or suggestions would be amazing, and if i think of anything i will let yall know.
