My little sister is doing a project. She's an 8th grader and is in Earth Science. She's learning about the three types of rocks: Igneous, Metamorphic, and Sedimentary. She has a project due in a few days where she and her partner are making a fake band. They make up 10 song titles having to do with their rock category of their choice, which is Igneous.
She needs a creative band name having to do with Igneous rocks. Here are a few rocks:

Pumice ~ Andesite ~ Rhyolite ~ Ash ~ Basalt ~ Granite ~ Scoria ~ Obsidian

Some words that describe Igneous rocks:
Pyroclastic, Intrusive, Extrusive.

Some lady at her school said their name should be Intrusiveness, but they weren't sure about that name. They sort of want a play-on of another band's name.

Any ideas are great(: She needs anything. The name should have at least one rock name or word that describes Igneous rocks.

Like, one of the song titles they did was something like "Pumice Me You'll Love Me", where they added Pumice instead of Promise. That's what the band name should be like, but can be a play-on of another band.

Sorry if this doesn't make any sense.. I tried to explain this as well as I could. She needs a really good name!

Um, well....you should try maybe actual band names with igneous terms replacing a word or two. Also: a name...Ignites? Lame, maybe....I don't know. Try finding more about igneous rocks and cycle words. Maybe you come across an interesting word, who knows. Ignia, um.....Fire Eruptions, Cool down....this is hard. Good luck, and I hope maybe my suggestions were a bit helpful. I'm pessimistic though =(:):D:cool::cool:
