Hi all,

I have an old 2700 receiver from many years ago. I recently moved into a new home and installed Bell TV again with 2 HD receivers. I'm wondering can I activate and use the old receiver? Do I have to upgrade the card in it or anything like that?

Thanks.

Ther is no longer an "additional receiver fee" but you will require an S06**** Card. Depending on the Version you have now, you might have to buy the Card.

If Bell want more than $50 or $60 I would be looking at getting another new or newer receiver, the 2700 is very old nowadays.

This is the design on the vast majority of the previous generation of Smart Cards;

If it's plugged into a tv, you can read the number off the system info screen when the card is out.

Pinza, is the SC number listed on the older cards? I know the latest generation has a bar code and the SC number on the card itself.

If you have always owned this receiver and have never formally deactivated it with Bell (just unplugged it and stored it) then they should have sent you a new card when they last updated their cards. You can always check online at bell.ca to see the 2700 receiver is still listed as one of your receivers.

Whilst what you say is true, I think you will find that from reading the first post they have just come back to Bell TV after moving into a new house.
