This is a post to help everyone that has a Samsung Z serie mobile that is locked and/or freezed.

The explanation for how to do is already on this forum but to make it easier for everyone to find it, I'm making my 1 for all (Z series phones) post.

The supported phones for this process are (the Z series phones):

(as listed in the program)
SGH-Z140
SGH-Z140V
SGH-Z300
SGH-Z300M
SGH-Z500
SGH-Z500V
SGH-ZM60
SGH-ZV30
SGH-ZX10


To unlock and/or unfreeze these phones you must follow the next steps:

- Download and install QUALCOMM UNLOCKER (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=39RITNDZ)

- Install the propper USB drivers for your mobile (if it comes with CD, if that CD has the USB drivers, it's those ones that you should use, otherwise, download: http://org.downloadcenter.samsung.co...USBDriver.exe).

- Have the proper USB cable for your mobile (if it comes with one, it's that one that you should use).

- After having your phone correctly connected to your computer (using the USB cable) and turned ON (with or without the SIM inserted), set the mobile modem COM port as one between port 2 to port 9 (ports 2 and 9 included). [Note]

- Connect (with something like a metallic wire for example) the 2nd and 3rd pins of the COM1 port (behind your computer), like the example below (imagine it like a COM - 9 pinned - port):

no one really ever explained the need for pinning the 2 pins on the com port.

i know everyones only trying to help the poor bloke...... but really

leave the solder and wire in the tool box, use cracked ns dongle and a lg7050 powered comms lead, select z130 cause z140 isnt there, press read phone or unlock and du durrrrrr.... as mr bean says, phone un frozen

100% WORKING, TRY THIS OUT FRIENDS.

I USE USB CABL FOR Z500 AND UNLOCKED IT.

If you phone get auto off than keep on pressing a number to keep the phone on or if the light goes out it will auto off itself

try it out and it is easy

Hi I am trying this on a Z400 wich is frosen, im using ns dongle crack. The phone is detected on COM3, connected via the stock cable for the z400. NSdongle just cant even estamblish a connection to the phone, it says:

Searching for phone...
Operation failed!
Operation failed!

and a popup appears saying "Comport 4 can not be open!" It's on com 3, not four, and i have selected it in the list. I know z400 is not listed in the phones dropdownlist, but i would assume it would even open the connection to the phone before quitting. I have tried with a com trick also, shorting the two pins on COM1 (can anyone explain why this is done anyways?) and without shorting them.

i have a Z140 freeze
when i run the qualcomm i receave this error...
Read master control lock fail
what can i do to solve it?

i know this thread is dead, but i'm getting really desperate with my zx10.

i keep getting a "usb open fail" message. any body know whats going on??
