my husband will be going away for 10 days on a hunting trip and i want to steam the carpeting wile he gone. we have 3 long haired dogs and a 6 yr old so i need remedies that are safe. the carpeting is beige-not fluffy-and there arent any pet stains. only a tea blotch and a few ketchup drops that wasnt able to get out completely. the rest of the dirt is just normal soil dirt that happens thru high traffic areas. my vacuum does a really good job with hair and dirt (kirby) and my steamer is a bissel. most times shoes are taken off in kitchen before entering the carpeted area so i already try to keep it nice looking ahead of time (we rent too).
anybody find a "do it yourself" solution or bottled solution that actually works. im a waitress so im on a tight budget already. any ideas or websites to check out would be appreciated! thanx!!
