Are there any Fantasy novels out there that have a very detailed history of the world, from the Gods and their religion to the discoveries and advancement of technolog? Are they so detailed that the different cultures have their own language and writing? The only one I can think of is the History of Middle-Earth by Tolkien, are there any others? I'm working on my own, different races, regions, languages, cultures, and a very colorful history and find it to be incredibly entertaining.
